2008 Cooper River Bridge Run
The Cooper River Bridge Run/Walk is one of the most popular races in the southeast. Last year the race had over 38,000 participants, and we are expecting a similiar turnout for 2008. The race has been highlighted by Runner's World and Running Times magazines. The Bridge Run is a three day festival: a two-day pre-race Exposition Thursday and Friday (April 3rd and 4th) at the Gaillard Auditorium and the race and post-race Exposition on April 5th,2008.

The Citadel
The Citadel was established as an educational institution on December 20, 1842, when the South Carolina Legislature passed an act establishing the South Carolina Military Academy.
